Regardless of whether you’re creating gifts for family members, or looking to decorate your own Thanksgiving table this holiday season—these ideas are sure to delight you.
Let’s dive into it.
1. Pumpkins, Candles, And Evergreen
This centerpiece looks absolutely fantastic—though it is a bit of work to put together.
But if you’re a bit crafty (and enjoy creating holiday decorations, it ought to be a fun project to take on.
You’ll need some kind of platform or box to keep the decorations in (preferably a wooden box). Then, you’ll need to arrange some small pumpkins and/or gourds, along with an assortment of candles, some evergreen sprigs, pine cones, etc.
This idea works really well for larger Thanksgiving tables where you’ve got room to do a bit more with your centerpiece.
2. A Wooden Dish, A Sign, And Candles
This centerpiece idea is a bit smaller, and it’s pretty simple.
You start with some kind of base (usually an old-fashioned wooden dish). Then, you arrange a few small pumpkins within, mixed with a bit of greenery. Then, you place two candlesticks in the middle and lean a small hand-written sign up against them.
The sign could say ‘happy Thanksgiving,’ ‘happy harvest,’ or really anything that fits well with the rest of your theme.
Alternatively, you could order a small printed sign online as well—or even pick one up at a local shop.
But the sign is really the focal point of this centerpiece idea.
3. A Simple Vase Of Flowers
This centerpiece is probably the easiest, simplest, and most room-efficient of all.
It’s a simple vase with a few fall-oriented flowers arranged within it.
If you need some fall flower ideas, give us a call. We’ll keep you supplied with Thanksgiving-friendly flowers all season long.
This idea works especially well for smaller tables where you may not have room for a larger arrangement.
4. Lanterns, Lights, And Pumpkins
This centerpiece does a great job of bringing some ambient, magical energy to any Thanksgiving dining room table—and it’s awesome.
It’ll take some work, and you’ll need to gather the materials. But basically, you’ll need a couple of lanterns, some of those tiny ‘whispy’ light strings, and some small pumpkins, acorns, or really any kind of decorations to set into the bottom of the lanterns.
Then, you just arrange them to emit a soft glow over the harvest-themed decorations—which works especially well if your lights are battery-powered (this keeps you from needing to plug them in, which can get in the way).
All things considered, this is one of our favorite ideas—and you can order the stuff pretty easily online.
5. A Harvest Cornucopia Filled With Fall Flowers
This centerpiece really elevates the ‘harvest’ and ‘fall’ themes associated with Thanksgiving—and we love it.
All you really need is a cornucopia (appropriately sized for your table), and then to fill it with some fall greenery or flowers.
If you’re not sure where to find a cornucopia—you might try Hobby Lobby. Alternatively, you can always order one online.
Personally, we love to see some fall flower arrangements placed into decorations like this—but you can also get really creative with it.
You can even place some imitation cranberries, gourds, or even pine cones into it (if you use a large enough cornucopia).
Hopefully, this post has given you some excellent food for thought on what to arrange as a centerpiece at your Thanksgiving table.
This wonderful time of the year is almost upon us!
